The overall structure of the VS1-12 vacuum circuit breaker is three-phase common tank type, with three-phase vacuum interrupters placed inside a metal tank. According to different insulation and protection methods, it is mainly divided into two structural types: ordinary type and pole type (sealed type). The main conductive circuit of the ordinary circuit breaker is arranged in a cylindrical insulating cylinder made of insulating materials, and the vacuum interrupter is placed in the insulating cylinder, which can effectively defend against environmental influences and mechanical damage. The pole type uses epoxy resin sealing technology, integrating the vacuum interrupter, main conductive circuit, insulating support and other components into a sealed pole, which improves the environmental tolerance.

The VS1-12 vacuum circuit breaker is designed with a front-rear split structure and supports multiple installation methods. It can be installed as a fixed unit in fixed switchgear (such as XGN type, GG-1A type), and can also be used as a withdrawable (drawout type) unit in combination with a special chassis truck, which is suitable for drawout switchgear such as KYN28 (GZS1) type. This product has certain interchangeability and versatility. The main technical parameters of the VS1-12 vacuum circuit breaker include: rated voltage 12kV, rated frequency 50Hz. The rated currents include 630A, 1250A, 1600A, 2000A, 2500A, 3150A, 4000A, etc. The rated short-circuit breaking currents include 20kA, 25kA, 31.5kA, 40kA, etc. The rated short-circuit making currents (peak value) include 50kA, 63kA, 80kA, 100kA, etc. The rated peak withstand currents (dynamic stable currents) include 50kA, 63kA, 80kA, 100kA, etc. The rated short-time withstand currents (4s thermal stable currents) include 20kA, 25kA, 31.5kA, 40kA, etc. The rated insulation level includes 1min power frequency withstand voltage: 42kV for ground, 48kV for break; lightning impulse withstand voltage: 75kV for ground, 85kV for break. The mechanical life is usually 20000 times or 30000 times [3-4] [8] [11]. The number of breaking times for rated short-circuit breaking current is 30 times or 50 times. The rated operating sequence is: open - 0.3s - close-open - 180s - close-open.

The normal operating environmental conditions of the VS1-12 vacuum circuit breaker need to meet the following requirements: the upper limit of ambient air temperature is generally +40℃, and the lower limit is -10℃ or -15℃; it can be as low as -30℃ or -40℃ during storage and transportation. The altitude shall not exceed 1000m or 2000m. If the altitude needs to be increased, the rated insulation level shall be improved accordingly. The daily average value of relative humidity shall not be greater than 95%, and the monthly average value shall not be greater than 90%. The installation site shall be free of fire and explosion hazards, no severe foul gas, chemical corrosion and severe vibration. The seismic intensity shall not exceed 8 degrees.、
